Procurement Process

1. We obtain competitive tenders from qualified bidders based on an invitation to tender package.
2. Tenders are by invitation only and unsolicited bids are not considered. 
3. In order to be considered for tender new Contractors must complete and submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for review and evaluation. Submission of the Prequalification Questionnaire does not automatically qualify for a tender invitation.
4. When the Tender is received a technical and commercial evaluation is made by the project team. Tenders are clarified through meetings or written correspondence and a tender selection is made.
5. In order to maximize local business, employment and training, the selected Tenderer will meet with the AttFN to reach an understanding on First Nation involvement in the potential contract.
6. A recommendation is then made to De Beers based on the above evaluation.
7. On receipt of De Beers approval a commitment is made to the selected Tenderer.
